Dear Members of the combined conference Australia and New Zealand 2018

Matariki – New Beginnings… what a way to start our new beginnings.

What do I say to such a fabulous group of members and guests…….WORDS are not enough to just say thank you…. To You the Members…. What a really amazing conference we all had. I wish to thank you all for your wonderful warm and kind remarks and for the lovely comments on face-book . It was easy for me to enjoy when I knew you were all enjoying conference and the WOW factor that we wanted you all to have as a welcome to the city and birthplace off the World of Wearables.

I wish to thank Fay and Margaret for having the faith to allow me a free hand in the organisation of conference, and to the Amazing Nissa who, as my right hand, is the most capable person you could ever wish for to be your partner in any organisation….. couldn’t have done it without her.

As a committee of 2 we promised you the WOW factor….. and it was truly amazing.

Thank you to the boards of both Countries, to the workshop presenters, the speech contestants, the Debate teams and the fabulous Keynote speaker (Breffni O’Rourke) and Nelson City Councillor, Mel Courtney, who gave us the words to laugh and enjoy for the whole weekend “WOW isn’t that AMAZING!”

And a very BIG thank you to the clubs and members who went the extra mile to showcase garments for the WOW parade which were First Class.

Not long now and looking forward to greeting you all in Nelson.
A couple of reminders re the WoW show.
Firstly, please don't stress too much about how the show and catwalk will run . . . it is what will be.  I have tried to make it low key and no stress so it is fun and enjoyable for all.  Catwalk time will be approximately 2 minutes.  All you have to do is to bring your garment and music back up, and meet me at 1.45pm on the Friday in the Kawai Room for me to decide on the order and tell you what is happening for the evening.  The judges will do their thing during the show.
Please send me your photos by the weekend (Saturday, 21st April) if possible; no person other than myself will see the photos until the night when they get a Wow programme.
Cheers - Linda
